Unit Tattoos and Body
Art
(or things that turn
the First Sergeants hair grey)
As of May 18, 2010

Throughout history, soldiers have
gotten tattoos or added body art that was not
something that made the First Sergeant Happy (if the
Army had wanted you to have a tattoo, it would have
issued you one). Usually it was an item that
displayed the unit Espirit de Corps or indicated
what unit the soldier was affiliated with or
assigned to. In many cases it was just something
that the soldier managed to get talked into during a
weekend pass after consuming a little too much
liquor. The troopers of the 545th
MP Company were no different and we are fortunate
enough to have a few photos of such body art work.
